 Sometimes you get lucky with the challenge topic and it's something which you had already shot. In this case, I photographed the foggy trees with the brilliant morning sky a few days before I even knew about the challenge. This has gotten a lot of positive feedback on flickr, so here's hoping that continues on DPC.

Post processing:
* White Balance
* Combine 3 exposures in Nik HDR Efex Pro
* Increase black point
* Increase brightness
* Reduce contrast
* Increase saturation and vibrancy
* S-curve
* Increase contrast of sky
* Export as TIFF
* Resize
* Sharpen Edges
* Save as JPEG

Interestingly, I have a photo that I actually like quite a bit better, but it was shot just a few hours too early :(

I feel I'd like to see the trees turned into pure silhouettes -- just bumping up the black clip point a little bit would do it.

Not really thrilled with the crop, I think the crop should of included some of the ground, but then again you possibly took this out of a moving car, how do I know. I do like the sky.
