 Shot at 100mm from the right side of the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. I was originally out there to see if I could get any startrail-type shots, and I thought that the Palm might offer some relief from the city lights. Disappointingly, it didn't. However, the right side of the Palm isn't developed yet, and I was able to climb over the retaining wall and set my tripod up on the rocks and get this shot of the city.

It was an incredibly clear night for Dubai. Generally, you would be lucky to see the Burj Al Arab (the sailboat looking hotel), and you wouldn't be able to see the Burj Dubai at all (the world's tallest building). I was lucky to get both in this one.

I cannot get over the magical architecture there in Dubai. Every picture and article I see on the subject is more breathtaking than the last.
