Since I figure you don't want to see pictures of my cats, I wandered out to find other peoples' families. Here are several!

Perhaps that would be a better entry.

But it did get this!!

Thank you very much!!

Lovely, reassuring shot Deb. This was the right choice. You do have in my view, a remarkable, somehow detached way of looking at your surroundings.

Looking at this image we can get a little reassurance that all is well in the world. And yes, there is no need to include the word family. The picture tells it.
Could have been taken by melethia - it has this wise and peaceful way at looking at the world around.

I don't really think we can tell who's family and who's not but to me this definitely portrays the family unit - and what better time than a Sunday. It's a great photo - love it.

Nice diverging perspective formed by the shadows. I always like elements in the photograph which might delay the discovery of the real subject. However, here the cycling girl is really prominent and the family looks a bit secondary, at least to my eyes. Perhaps, if the girl were loooking in their direction and being looked back at, the interplay between the two centres of interest would work better for me.

This is a nice shot, it's taken from a good angle, well-exposed and in good focus. However, I feel the girl on the bike is the main focus of the shot and I'd have liked the focus to be mainly on one of the families, for example the woman on the right holding the baby, or the crouching person with the buggy and older child. That said, it's quite a nice collection of characters anyway.

I love the tones, Deb. There's a twilight-y element about this, which I find very appealing.
