 I was in Paris on the weekend, and just had time to visit the Louvre at the end of a long day. This picture is of the ceiling of the gallery adjacent to the Mona Lisa; I had to snap it in a hurry as the Louvre was about to close. I'm relieved that a 1/4 second hand-held exposure came out this sharp - thank god for VR lenses! This is my first ever entry in a challenge... let's see how I go!

Notes for moderation: my camera clock is still set to AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time, UTC+10). The photo was taken in Paris (UTC+1). The EXIF date reads Nov 27 but the photo was taken on Nov 26.

The color cast really interferes with this photo for me.

Symmetry is all important in a shot like this and you've not done too bad a job of it, I can imagine the difficulties you had in getting this set up, the detail is good, all in all you've done credit to what is a magnificent work of art, well done

Great POV but I think you misjudged the DOF. The ceiling is on but from the 4 eagles out it starts fading. I'd have preferred more. Subjective.
