Greetings from the Critique Club!

First impression: Cartoony Tim Burton-esque shot, and looks like someone had a lot of fun getting ready for the shoot!

Artistic: Love the hair/makeup and expression, all so priceless, and the gloves and boa just adds to the impact further heightened by the scarlet bg.

Technical: Straightforward, head-on shots are amongst the most challenging, so good work on the lighting. In terms of comp I think it's great with the gloves framing the boa which lead up to the face, which in turn leads to the hair and those big features :-) Lighting looks pretty good. A slightly longer exposure or higher ISO may have helped bleach you out a little more to add to the impact, but maybe you already tried that. I have the Nikon version of that lens and it's a great one, keep it!

Overall: Very good work, good finish for what is probably one of your first challenges here. Keep up the creativity and shooting, and hope to see more of your work soon.

Feel free to PM me.

Funny and very expressive. The choice of hue works very well in framing her. 8

Cute idea! I like the angle you have taken this portrait. My only small critique it the eyes. They are a bit dark, I think the lighting is fine but you could play around with the editing and it would be an easy fix. Great job this should do well.

Very Tim Burton like. I feel she came right out of the Corpse Bride movie.
