Trav is the one on the far right. In the air.

(My "little man" turns ten on Wednesday. Where *does* the time go??? This shot is not technically all that great, but it is a milestone for him.)

This past summer, Trav began attending speed and agility training with a local franchise of Parisi Speed School. One of the "skills" they work on are vertical leaps. At his assessment in July, Trav measured four inches, max.

He has become noticeable faster and more coordinated, but I didn't realize the strength he had built in his legs until this shot.

Wow, boy's got air! Look at him go. This is fun. Great timing on the capture.

You mean Travis and DPC are both ten years old?
You are a glutton for punishment.
:)
Hmm, is that why you cut the referee in half?
:)
The double smiley is for the double fun you give both with this image and your participation in DPC.

Getting some serious hang time there. Well done to Travis on his hard work and the resulting improvements, and congratulations to you on your hard work over ten years, and this wonderful capture.

Great stop action shot. You got Trav at a great spot.

I would consider using the 50mm 1.8 for indoor basketball shots and move closer to the basket. The f4/ 1600 ISO provides a lot of noise (speaking from experience). I have found that the prime lenses do a much better of handling noise and make it less noticeable.

Go Trav! Great to capture these special life moments of your kid(s). I'm also battling with the indoor shots. My 8 yr old does Judo, won Gold last year :)
With effort I will get the shots but have to use a faster lens like the 70-200mm f/2.8 and they just released a OS/VR version of it aaaargh.

You know what they say! White men can't jump! WTG Trav!

What an impressive young man! This is a fun action shot. I think it could be improved by tighter cropping, but overall, I like it!
