 I decided to follow in the footsteps of my girlfriend (Purple_Girl) and photograph one of our 8 rats for DPC.. people seem to like them lol

This is "November" being all cute and cozy in her hammock.

I manually focused my Tamron 70-300mm macro lens to focus past the bars of the cage and make them almost non-existant.. I knew the AF would just keep latching onto those cage bars lol, so didn't even try with that..

For editing, I cropped the image, adjusted brightness and contrast with levels, denoised a little, cloned out a whisker and a few stray bits of hair on the underside of the hammock i didn't like, sharpened, resized for challenge and sharpened a little again a small amount.

OMG .. this is toooooo cute .. i want one .. !!!
a rodent that is ..
altho i currently have a miniature foxy, katee, and a budgie .. i reckon adding a rodent to the family would be asking a lot of katee .. she has to overcome her natural instincts on a regular basis already when the little bird dive bombs and chases her .. she looks all scared .. i think its fear of caving in to her desires .. not fear of the actual bird ..
anyhooooooo ... this little rodent looks like he should have a drink in one 'hand', a yummy snack in the other and maybe a good lookin' lady rodent beside him .. its a wonderful shot ..
