For 2012 Photo a week. Theme: Underfoot

Used Nik SEP 2 in luminosity mode, adjustments including adding grain.

Some thoughts as I post this: I seem to be working on (and hopefully through!) cropping issues these days. This version is rather centered, but on the other hand I like the sweep of the lines coming in on the right. When I tried this cropped on the right it just seemed to cramp the image too much. Feedback welcome!

And yes, I was thinking of bvy when I took this!

Very cool. Looks almost like serpent mounds.

Interesting abstract, reminds me an embroidery.

I actually quite like the grass; it gives the photo a sense of perspective. I like the cropping the way it is, but that's just my personal preference.

interesting shot. because there is a lack of any point of scale reference, the lines remind me of geoglyphs seen from the air.

Good for you! Lots of wonderful possibilities here. I don't mind the little bit of color at all. It adds some spark, but is hardly overpowering.

Love the patterns and the monochromatic fun of this.
If it was mine, I might have excised the greenery in the upper left...

These lines fascinate me. And you image, or rather your vision to capture them photographically really impresses me.

I think of wayward wandering snails and the lovely trails they leave behind, which somehow have been indelibly etched into the pavement.

Those lines almost look like heiroglyphs on and egyptian tomb! I would never think of taking a shot like this. Cool.

The road is trying to tell us something...a new secret language is found.

The guy who did the crack sealing must have been a bit of an artist himself! I like the lines on the right too. I kinda held my hand up to block out the grass (really technical - I know) as El-Roi suggested but I think I like that bit of color...IMHO. Neat shot.

Wonderful light on essentially a 2D subject!! I like the abstract lines as the wiggle through the image giving a sense of motion. Crop wise, I think it's what's on the left that ought to be cropped. I think it is the grass line meeting the asphalt. See what happens when you rotate the image to crop out the top left corner...
