27" iMac - must be the gloss - its 100% black, edge to edge.
warning about abstracts in general here. this is mostly commercial and stock folks - lots of water drops, wedding and other outtakes; tons of bucks spent on lighting and model fees. they have zero interest in abstracts of any kind, let alone your attempt here. so just have fun and ignore the scoring. best of luck. |

and 6 10's. oh man, just a few more seconds exposure and this would rock. |

Oh shame you came last in your first challenge, still you got 10 6's so It couldn't of been that bad. |

Strongly disagree with the title. Nothing is more vivid than when it gets so dark. And I do see the trees. Perhaps it's just me. |

over the edge... literally... not sure that's a bad thing though. |

this is why night is so frightening |

Good job,I love how you have to look hard to see the trees, makes for an interesting pic, in my top 3, bump to a 10. |

I had to throw this in photoshop and shadow highlight it to reveal the underlying trees, because my monitor is so dark. I like it, think its a good take on this challenge. |

I get that it's abstract but I can barely make out what I'm looking at and composition is still weak. I guess that's what's so hard about abstract pictures, they are extremely hard to get right. |

Too dark, too abstract and it seems too blurry... |

Decrease your shutter speed! :) I like the way the trees lead you down the path. I fear this will do poorly, but I appreciate your entry!!!! |

Abstract for sure. Might be an aperture size issue. Recommend you not stop down so far. |

love the lack of detail here, it means i can make m own story up in my head, reminds me of the long cold scary walks back to my parents farm cross country as a young man slighlty drunk and stumbly cutting through the woods in the dark imagination running wild with me. spooky, |
