 Setup:
Non-reflective black surface, single 50W lamp with a paper sheet across the front to soften shadows and a very tired and patient 8yr old boy (my son).

I used a tripod and a remote to trip the shutter ( My hand is the big one :-) ).

I like the shot, in general, very much. On my monitor, it has a yellowish-orange color cast that I don't care for.

I like the attempt at a warm tone, but the yellow tint is a bit much for me. Great shot, though.

The yellow cast to the skin is a bit weird and sickly. The composition is strong, though. Maybe in black and white this would have been more dramatic.

Too dark and too off color. Hands are almost orange in color. Good focus, good crop, good set up and composition, just needs better execution. PTL

Good subject and a darker exposure helps give the feeling of warmth. The only problem is the light is so yellow that it brings out the veins in both hands and give the impression of poor health and weekness....maybe it's just me.

I realy like the subject and composition, but a bit too much warm color effect for me.

Great idea! Excellent choice of using a childs hand in that of an adult. Appropirate title, for it is up to us as adults to guide the young. 9

very nice composition, but the yellow cast doesn't really work well for me... maybe a little desaturation there of going completely black and whit e would work also :) - setzler
