I was just going through old nude entries (wishing I had a model for the current challenge) and came across this. If I don't stop laughing soon I am going to wake my kids! Sorry, but this is just great! It has been a long day and I really needed the laugh!!!! Thank you!!!

I like it alot, claudia. Shedding a little light on the "dark side," eh?! In fact, had you cropped it slightly more, or had your model keep his knees together a little tighter, you could have had a rather hairy cross -- possibly, even, an ankh. In any case, an interesting comment on the unconscious or dark side of a certain western religion. Way to go!

unbelieveable comments. red spot does need to go, but the simplicity of the image is excellent. should NOT be last place. Some people comments showed their age.

how odd - I thought this was an interesting image - i'm one of those sevens - I still think it is an interesting image (except for that spot of red betwen the legs) Perhaps John is right, try it in black and white and see if it becomes more abstract.

I have been going through the pics trying to leave comments and then I see this. lol I really don't know what to say about this one. At least it fits the challenge. If this is not the the backside of a man, then it is one hairy woman! Way to shoot outside the box.

I guess this fits the challenge, but I'm not sure what you're going for here. I almost get the impression you were trying to take a shot that would be as poorly recieved as possible. Perhaps the shot is a challenge for us to consider our standards of beauty and compare them with reality. Perhaps you just like to ruffle feathers. Either way, in my opinion this is an extremely unappealing shot on an aesthetic level, and I don't see much else to redeem it. Good luck to you though.

easily the toughest image in the challenge to deal with. There is no sense of intimacy with this subject, so we can't have any sympathy or tolerance of the physical imperfections, leaving us pretty much just shocked and prone to running away. Its just a hairy, spotty bottom and I think this shot has done nothing for the subject, the lighting is harsh, the angle and crop as unflattering as it could possibly be. My apologies. I don't mean to be harsh on the subject. Its not uncommon for men to have the traits shown in this shot as your model has, but its just not easy on the eyes.

The lighting is a bit unflattering here. I think that possibly the flash was used, which makes the image flat.
Use of an external light source from the side would help create shadows and bring out the contours of the body.
A soft focus might help hide any imperfections.

I think this photo may suffer from 'color' moreso than anything else. It appears that you may have two different colored light sources which aren't meshing well. Solution: black and white. The symmetry in this photo is also not particularly appealing to me. Maybe a little rotation of the camera to create some diagonals would be an improvement as well...

hehe, very unattractive -a good bet for brown ribbon (No pun intended of course)

However, I think it's not all that bad - it has a nice pattern to it and is fairly art abstract Esq.

I would crop off the bottom 1/4 though, and lose the red bit at the bottom.
