 Took pictures at my first ever gymnastics meet for our schools newspaper. This was on the balance beam.
These are pretty much the only pictures I took all month, so that is what I am submitting. I don't expect it to score high at all since it has technical problems and could be a lot sharper

I am in a total photography rut right now. I haven't picked up my camera in ages to do any fun shooting. If it wasn't for the photography job, I wouldn't touch it at all.

You're welcome. All I had was 50mm f/1.4 too. No such thing as money for UWA 10-20mm's in my heyday.
All the same it's great work and I hope the paper published it? If they didn't submit it to your local rag too!

Thanks Harvey, but it was actually my 50mm 1.4. I accidentally set it to the wrong lens. I also did a LOT of blurring and burning of the background in photoshop, so its a lot less impressive then you think. But I am glad you liked the image :-)

OMW! That is simply wonderful work for a 400D and a f/4-5.6 lens. Go girl! I also started with basic gear at my schools newspaper. Keep it up, you'll go far. I'm fave'ing it.
