 Part of a series of campaign photos I shot for the Mayor to be, my father-in-law Grover. Here is another that I entered from the same day : A true Patriot

He did get elected Mayor, and was sworn in on Jan 3rd, 2012.

SB600 through white umbrella over my left shoulder
SB700 w/diffuser to my right and behind Grover for a Rim
SB600 through white umbrella and boomed directly over the table/cross

This would be great for a church website or newsletter, has a very commercial feel. Did you burn the book in the background? Looks like it's had a go with the burn tool up a bit too high. Not immensely distracting though. Nice focus on the fellow.

Nice lighting. I like the use of DOF to blur the items in the background, yet they are readily recognizable symbols of the Christian faith. Not sure about the lighting / shadows on the left side of his face.

nice portrait, i'd like to see a bit more of his body. the hue is making his skin look too pinkish and the background is way over processed, a bible should not have a black halo.
