 I know this will pale next to what others will submit. I just didn't spend a lot of time last year taking shots that would do well in a challenge like this. I still think this is a pretty shot though.

I originally shot this in jpg very shortly after I got my new camera. It's very basic editing.

I like the feel and colors in this, but feel it is too overexposed. As a result, this mutes the colors, and renders almost the top 1/3 of the shot very very light. Maybe this was your intent, but IMO it makes a picture that has great potential just so-so.

A very rare nature shot, in that it conveys a mood to me. A warm spring morning, and I'm out for a pleasant bike ride (of course) shortly after dawn. I stop under this tree near the river to enjoy the sound of the leaves rustling in the light breeze. The moment of quiet helps to put things into perspective for me.

I will admit that I had to look at this shot a few minutes for it to grow on me. Not one that can be fully appreciated in 3 seconds. Something about it made me pause and linger over it longer, and that is always worth some extra pointage.

I like the vintage processing of this image. Could see this as a print...I think it would be lovely on a wall.

Love it. Has a distinct 70's feel to it. Can't explain it in artsy terms but reminds me of the advertising and imagery of that time.

this works on many levels. i like the sunlight and the flare is great, th ered leaves on the greenish background.
