This is an A. a. shirasi moose. The NE US has a different subspecies, A. a. americana. Message edited by author 2017-10-16 09:24:35. |

The Key Collectionby hahn23Comment: Originally posted by Bear_Music: Plus, that's weird, a ribbon with no during-voting comments? |

The Sun's Corona at Totalityby hahn23Comment: Originally posted by snaffles: Greetings from the Critique Club! A very close relative to this image, also taken by you, took the blue in the recent Eclipse challenge - even the titles are almost identical - and honestly I have to admit that I too was feeling a bit 'eclipsed-out' when I saw it. Yes, it is a fabulous capture, and I appreciate all the hard work and skill that went into getting it, but perhaps too much of a good thing and the voters acted accordingly? Sorry but I really have nowhere else to go with this.
As always, feel fee to PM me,
Susan |
This image is unique. It qualifies for entry into the August FS. If anyone thinks this violates challenge rules, then please report the image to the administration. Each challenge stands alone and should receive votes unrelated to other challenges. It's pretty much unfair to discriminate against this image because it's a total solar eclipse photo. In the past, images of similar subjects have been entered into consecutive challenges. I think two or three have actually ribboned. (remember the bridges?) |
