Are you exited about the upcoming Nikon?

No announcement was good for me....I usually buy something and then the next best thing comes out a short time later. At least now I know my D700 is the best Semi-pro Nikon available....or NOT available...they seem to be hard to get these days !

I'm pretty happy with the D7000. It's the camera that I always wanted. I feel like I'm all set for a long time.

Absolutely makes sense. Just with all the hype that has surrounded the potential announcement today, one couldn't help getting just a bit excited (as opposed to exited!) Gives me longer to save up anyway :)

LOL, same as Canon. It's apparent that the product life cycle in SLRs is increasing, which makes sense. As the market matures, the rate of change is slower, and they want to get more for their development investment.

According to Nikon Rumors the D4 is slated to appear in 2012.

Probably December 21, 2012.

My D3s and D3 will be with me for a long time. 12MP amazing high ISO and dynamic range, and AF that just plain rocks. I'm set for a while.

I seem to be "just behind the latest/greatest camera" so I'll sell my D700 to get the 800 for Christmas if the price and features are to my liking.

Can you post a few of those Bull fighting pics? I've never used 6400 and I'd like to see "real" results.

Hoping for the D700 replacement but rumors seem to think it will be a Coolpix and mirrorless announcement on the 24th. I already have a few FF lenses and want the camera to match.
