Steve (Mcrochip) has volunteered his largish kitchen for the dinner. Rich has volunteered to help with the grocery shipping and Di will be my chief prep person. As we get closer to the actual date, I will need to find out how many to expect. I hope LOTS of people can make it!

I volunteer to stand back and watch in awe of your chef skills. I can also supervise and handle crowd control. I'm good with that. If I can handle a classroom of 30 middle- or high-school students, a group of DPCers should be no problem. ;o)

You got it Laurie! Crowd control is always important.

oh bummer..I am going to miss yet another DC gathering.
Going to have back fusion surgery...probably the end of June.
I somehow think I will not be up and around by then... I guess I will hope for the next get together.

You could always just come meet and visit with us, no walking around or stress.

Believe me I am thinking about it. If I am up to it i might try. Main problem is I am over 3 hours away. Somehow doubt I'd make the trip sitting for that length of time. From what I hear, I will be able to walk and do a little, but probably not that much. I will be in a brace for 6 weeks.

Being only a hour away, I'm technically not "out of town", but I think I can make it on that weekend! Finally a chance to meet more of you - so count me in.

Also - I know I'm out a little ways, but I have a guest room if anyone who is coming doesn't want to ante up for a hotel room. PM me if you need a place to stay!
