Once again, Wendy's hit the nail bang on the head. Trying to change someone is next to impossible. If they change for the better, of their own accord, that's one thing; but to try to get them to change...well...that's a few years ago I stupidly stayed with someone for 5 1/2 years. I kept trying to change him and guess what, he kept on staying the same.

And why the Belgian lasted only 3 1/2 months, he kept trying to get ME to change. Now why on earth would anyone want that?! Because they want to control you.

Once again, I'm glad I've finally managed to meet someone who is quite happy with me as I am, and with whom I am equally happy as he is. Just wish it hadn't taken this long but oh well :-)

yup, but they're worth waiting for, aren't they!

oh grawr, you've both got me jealous now:) i just wish i had either Jeb to hang out with or a guy worth spending time with:)

ive been working on hanging out with other guys, such as my nude model(usaully when hes not nude lol), a guitar friend who graduated last year, but mostly the guys i do senior portraits for. next weekend i am doing a hike with 6 guys, all of whom i adore. so basically they are being forced to hang out with me for 5-6 hrs, heh heh

but yeah, im trying to expand, but it feels like theres no one to expand to at this point. maybe thats a good thing

Ummm...probably a flea market, Sally Ann, some place like that. I have a collection of the damn things, don't know why, ranging from the size I used for the shoot to slightly larger to almost outrageously tall. All I know for sure in the ealy 90s with all the country/rock stuff happening, there were those beer mugs all over the place.

hmmm, sure, you made me go actually click on the picture to see the boot. Now I want a brownie and milk! drat :(

But on a different note, I actually have 3 missed focus shots that I like, so I don't have to use the blurred motion one. Anyone care to see them? (I've already decided, so I don't need help (well, I do need help, but not with that!) I'm just really excited--this is the type of thing that team suck has helped me appreciate: the unusual, non straight-forward photos. So I'm very excited to have 3 oof pictures that I really like! (4, including the accidental one with motion blur)

Yep, that you do! Perhaps you should just title all your entries "Sunset Drama" and see what happens. :-)

I figured I'd tell you a story about myself:

One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not
whine, nag or bitch. (That would be me...)

But that was a long time ago and it was just that one
day. Sorry you missed it.

**THE END.**

LadyK - emotional response isn't a bad thing, it's not a sign of weakness or anything like that, it's a sign of being human. I have been with my husband for a decade now (yikes - apparently I'm older than I thought!) and there are still guy or two from my past who can bring a tear to my eye now. But not one who I would rather be with than my husband. They might have been "Mr. Right" for that time, they wouldn't be "Mr. Right" for the long haul though. And I don't regret any of those past relationships, they helped to shape who I am now.

On the sucky photo side - could I be any more mediocre if I tried ?

These days, Lea, a 5.5 is a pretty darn good score, and in that challenge is really quite a good score from what I've seen in the scores thread! So you'll have to work a little harder at "mediocre". :-)

People are voting extremely harshly in this one. This might be like a challenge a little while ago where the top 10 actually dipped down into the 5s. I don't think it will dip low enough for us, though! :D

I got this done yesterday.

Just arrived back home from Corfu, and am completely whacked - it was a night flight, and I have effectively missed an entire nights sleep. Had a fantastic holiday - no idea if I have any keeper photos, to be honest, I didn't take very many! I see that I have a lot of commenting to do... I am off to bed very soon, and tomorrow I have to put in a 14 hour day at work so realistically it will be the weekend before I get the chance to give the Aug FS and Lines TS entries my attention - just to let you know I haven't forgotten!

Welcome back, Sara, and congrats on your non-suckiness while you were away. :-)

Lea, the tat looks wonderful! The design is excellent and the artist did a very nice job with the application. A wonderful tribute.

Hey group,

My desktop computer suddenly stopped booting for me, likely because it found out I had a replacement "on the way." After much data transferring in my fragmented free time, I've managed to get all of my photography work (yay Aperture!) onto the external drive for my new mac mini (old one was a G5, circa 2002). What this means is that I can ponder taking pictures of things, and possibly chasing that elusive brown ribbon again.

Not to go all Mac/PC here, but the mac "boot up as a firewire drive" was invaluable in getting things moved around.

Getting this done soon was important, since we're expecting our next son in a couple of weeks! In case I fall behind on challenge results, I'm willing to share my python script which generates the post. My old web interface trick doesn't work; my hosted domain runs python 2.4 and my script using python 3. PM me if you're interested.
