Just Leaf Me Aloneby jorrComment by timfythetoo: Poor focus overall. Looking back at past leaf shots that did well it seems as many are back lit to give a nice glow. Burning out the shadows may have helped bring out the detail a bit more. |

Jump, Nippin, Jumpby jorrComment by timfythetoo: I had a real tough time trying to capture my cat jumping (actually landing as I was throwing him) so kudos on this one. I have no clue how to take good action shots so my critique is from complete ignorance. The shot seems a bit harsh - not a clean focus and the colors are not strong. My eyes are drawn to his eye. If you had caught him clean and the pic was crisp I think you would have done much better. |

Parking Lot Playerby jorrComment by jachurch: Nice capture of a moment in time. I think it could be improved by making the subject larger in the frame, and by applying less sharpening. |

eagle eyeby jorrComment by eschelar: The more you worked with it? Perhaps a very low processing version could be posted and we could more easily judge the photo...
I feel that this looks quite soft, but it looks like you have some odd filters going on here. Perhaps what would have worked better would have been to keep the Eagle head sharp, but put the filter on the background instead...
I have heard that recommended USM settings on 0 sharpening images from the 20D is 300, 0.3, 0. I have been using 80-90, 0.3, 0 on images from my S2 which are probably going to be fairly sharpened already in camera, and I have had some pretty decent results. You might want to give those settings a play-with for your eagle? |

Jump, Nippin, Jumpby jorrComment by Melethia: This is a good capture of action but as someone else mentioned, would work better if the background were less busy to put more focus on the subject. Good looking dog! |

Jump, Nippin, Jumpby jorrComment by olddj: I did NOT give this a ten!! Guarantee that!! Though I love the photographer and the subject both (not with the same intensity, obviously), it is a harsh seeming photo with blurred edges, have not a clue as to how/why anyone could vote it a 1 or 2, but...

Complementary Flowerby jorrComment by timfythetoo: I really liked the color combination between the yellow and the purples as well as the layout of the shot. Overall though the noise and grain on the shot was just abit too much for my tastes. That would be my only complaint. |
