Sunflowerby SonifoComment: Something about this makes it look like a painting; perhaps the sharp definition and slight shadowing around the petals. It's an appealing effect and a very nice composition. |

Heraby vjozComment: This does a great job conveying the nervous loneliness of being on the stage, and the spotlight is subtle but unmistakable. I like the sharp focus on her face and the slight motion of her hand on the guitar neck (even if it's an accident). The face painting adds a unique interest. |

Pauaby timboydwhiteComment: One of my favorites in this challenge! Wonderful texture -- you can almost feel it. Nice focus and contrast on the shimmering colors of the shell. Great job! |

Swimming at Duskby inspzilComment: Beautiful picture, very evocative. This would have worked perfectly for seasonal summer as well. The bright touch of orange from the swim fins is great. |

1957 - A Good Vintage Redby wetlandComment: This has got to be a winner. I absolutely love this shot. You don't usually see tailfins from this angle; makes it look even more deadly than usual. My only quibble is the reflection of the tree, but this is still a 10! |

Red Mary Janes and Hair Ribbonsby LindaLeeComment: The black velvet is the perfect background for this; makes me think of the party dresses very little girls wear at Christmas. A really nice shot, great contrast and color. |

Watch That First Stepby mariomelComment: The complicated border really detracts from this shot. it's difficult to tell what the actual color of the sky is when it changes at the border. there also seems to be a little too much blue in the shot itself; the bricks have a blueish tinge to them that I'm sure isn't there. |

Sweetish Descentby casualguyComment: A lovely shot. The pink tinge of the light works better than pure white would have, almost as if the light is coming from the strawberry itself. Which I hope was delicious. (by the way, I too am of sweetish [and swedish] descent) :) |
