The Scent of a Womanby TerryGeeComment: I like the close up personal aspect. It is a good picture.
My opinion:
Don't know about the color. Blue ; emotionally it is for sadness, coldness and depression. Maybe a warmer color would have worked better? I don't know about the grain either. It could enhance the feeling of the scent being in the air. I don't think I like it. |

Some bases of Curryby fanfuineComment: Really masterful use of dof. The colors are inviting as is the composition and lighting. There's something about the cinnamon that doesn't look right. The shadows? The height? Maybe if they were laying down they would look better. I don't usually notice the borders, but this one I did and I think, in my opinion, it detracts. |

Putrid Paper Plumeby fisheyeComment: You get used to it after a while. Our family passed thru a paper mill town when we went to visit my grandparents. It was a marker, indicating it would only take 1/2 an hour to get there. |

Autumn Leavesby sarsyComment: Wet earth and decaying leaves. They are scents I like for some reason and ones my mind can summon up easily. Even if you are outside taking pictures, there shouldn't be any reason you couldn't help the arrangement along. Maybe adding a red or yellow leaf might have given this one some punch? |

Comfort Foodby CatherineComment: I like the composition. It looks like it's a little overexposed. Too bad, it would have been great if properly exposed. |

Pineby deemerComment: The shades of green make this a very easy photograph to look at. Lovely. It can also be called the smell of spring. Very pleasing. I don't know about the cones being full centered. Maybe a slight clockwise tilt of the camera to make the stem more diagonal and placing the cones on the lower 1/3 intersection? |

Burning Incense, trailing aroma.by mclaren_chooComment: Cool incense. I think I would lik it better if everyting was moved over to the right in the frame. Maybe a higher point of view would have introduced some interesting shapes also. |
