Buttercups

This challenge thought me the name of this flower. Being Swedish, I've never known it by the name Buttercup, but Smörblomma (translates to Butterflower, btw). So enough stories, and down to the dirty business:

I like this and I must say that the tone of the green is amazing, but I'd much rather have just one flower in focus, the second one in the left hand corner is a bit distracting, hence my score which is a *drumroll* 7!!! (I do apologise, it's 01:12 in the UK right now.

Wedding Flowers

This is such a hard picture to score. Part of me screams DNMC, but part of me tries to reason and say that it is actually outside, but the flowers aren't growing. And the criteria did just say that the studio was off limits, not that you had to take a picture of a growing flower.

Part of me also wants to give this photo a 4, part of me a 6 - Therefore you will get a 5. Seems easier that way. Might change my mind after a second look.

Earth laughs in flowers...

I've been looking at this shot several times now and I'm still trying to figure out what to write. It's taken from an interesting angle, but there's not much else to it. I'm not saying that it's a bad picture, not at all, but there are a few things that could be better.

My fist thought about it was that the sky seems to be a bit blown out, not a single detail and some bits of the flower are missing.

I like the colour, and how you can see the veins in the leaves, makes it all a bit more interesting.

A 5 from me!
