Very cool and well done. Did a double take on the shot there. I love the concept and you almost pulled it off completely. The edges around the face are a bit harsh and stand out, breaking the seam between the face and the wall. Maybe if you had put a cloth around the edge or even some tape to blend it all together so there wasn't as noticable a seam there. The eyes looking off is nice but looking directly at the camera, making the the type of eyes that follow you around the room would have really added some impact for me personally. And the glare on the forehead is the only other nitpicky thing I see. But again, great concept, great composition an 8

Oooooooooooo, ick, ick, ick!!!! I hate those spiders! But on to the shot itself, just don't make me hold the spider, kay?

This is a great idea overall and the sharpness of the fibers in the carpet and the detail on the spider is outstanding. The DOF is well done but the light seems a tad harsh and there seems to be a little spot on his back area that's a tad blown out. The orange colors in the carpet are a bit distracting. Maybe if the whole thing was converted to Black and White and it would really make the spider a part of the scenery, forcing the viewer to spend more time looking for him. But again, great capture, tell me you killed him afterwards! LOL:) A 7

You can't catch me! Sorry, that is the first thing that came to mind when I saw this. My son does that all the time. Well done over all, composition is well done, the branch leading you in, taking you to the first ant and then continuing on to the second ant. A great find and nice capture overall. The lack of sharpness is it's biggest downfall overall, the lighting, the DOF and the shot itself is great. Couldn't have been easy getting this one. An 8

Hello? Is this you or did you force this very nice lady to pose for you? :) Well done, I like the colors on this, the use of the camouflage itself and the branches and trees aregood also. I think I would have liked the shades to stay on or have just the glasses on and ONLY the eyes showing, would have really made this over the top for me. As is, an 8

Okay, I've been back and forth all over this picture and I have NO IDEA who is saying the title. I see no squirrel or bird, maybe that is your evil plan to get people to sit and stare at your picture all night, BWHAHAHAHA! :) Just kiddin, with the exception of not being able to find what is doing the talking it's an interesting shot. The DOF is the most interesting part, the front being totally out of focus in the shade while the sunny branches are nice and clear. A 6

I see you! I had to look a little bit but not very much, being close to the box made it a little to easy to find you :) Clever idea, the color on the trees seem just a td off, to light for some reason but the overall execution of the idea is well done. A 6

Interesing and clever idea, if her outfit only matched the sky a little better so it really looked like she was lost in the sky and all you could see was her hands and head. The light on her skirt and shirt seem off for some reason, was it a flash from the camera? Or are we reaching for something in the clouds? Is there a specific shape there? A 5

Well, something is hiding there, it's very well hidden. I can't see anything looking in the bottoms of the chimes or the edges. A 5

Greetings from the Critique Club!

What a lovely shot, so sweet, innocent yet slight seductive at the same time, very well done in that manner.

The overall composition of the shot is well done to me, the use of the extra space on the right helps bring me out of the shot after being drawn in by the young couple.

Just a couple of things really jump out at me right off the bat and with this being an advance challenge, could have been corrected with a bit of cloning. This is a lovely, handsome couple but the spots on their faces and necks and arms are really distracting to me, I know, it's superficial but when looking at a shot like this I also want to be looking at something close to perfection, it's what is expected, sadly by the public most of the time. But I think just a bit of cloning would have brought up the score up on this one by almost a point. The next thing that jumps out at me is the vibrancy of the rose compared to her skin compared to his. Now, if I'm reading this correctly you are trying to show her in the present and he is the love from the past, hence she still has some color but his is faded? Maybe if you had left her with more color to match the rose in tones and such and then had him more of a shadow, using the timer on your camera so he almost appeared as a ghost instead of being so solid might make a difference but even just bumping up her color a bit so there really is a contrast in the shot would relaly make a difference for me personally. Would have really sent the message across more clearly perhaps.

Again, a lovely image, very emotive overall and well excuted all in all.

I hope my comments help and good luck in future challenges!
