Greetings from the Critique Club!
What a lovely shot, so sweet, innocent yet slight seductive at the same time, very well done in that manner.
The overall composition of the shot is well done to me, the use of the extra space on the right helps bring me out of the shot after being drawn in by the young couple.
Just a couple of things really jump out at me right off the bat and with this being an advance challenge, could have been corrected with a bit of cloning. This is a lovely, handsome couple but the spots on their faces and necks and arms are really distracting to me, I know, it's superficial but when looking at a shot like this I also want to be looking at something close to perfection, it's what is expected, sadly by the public most of the time. But I think just a bit of cloning would have brought up the score up on this one by almost a point. The next thing that jumps out at me is the vibrancy of the rose compared to her skin compared to his. Now, if I'm reading this correctly you are trying to show her in the present and he is the love from the past, hence she still has some color but his is faded? Maybe if you had left her with more color to match the rose in tones and such and then had him more of a shadow, using the timer on your camera so he almost appeared as a ghost instead of being so solid might make a difference but even just bumping up her color a bit so there really is a contrast in the shot would relaly make a difference for me personally. Would have really sent the message across more clearly perhaps.
Again, a lovely image, very emotive overall and well excuted all in all.
I hope my comments help and good luck in future challenges!

Returning for comments:
Can you believe me! At first I did not take note of the transparency. Lol. This is a fantastic composition with attractive models and great use of flower to express the ethereal sense od smell to match those of the tender emotions. Lovely to look at. |

Interesting play with B&W vs color, composition and poses.
I think that the lighting is lacking a bit (not meant as harsh as it sounds); I'd like to see the shadows on his chest, her back and on the rose leafes softened a bit, with brighter skin tones without losing contrast. Hard eh? 7 Anyway. :) |

Great idea and I love the expressions on both models. The high contrast lighting and white background seem an unusual choise for the subject matter. I'm trying to visualize this with softer lighting, I think I'd prefer that for a more sensual look. But darn good anyway. 8 |

I was looking for the use of transparent materials on females and now I found it. Very nice. |

without the desat this would easily be one of my favs. it just doesn't seem necessary. the title could stay, just make him the same saturation as her, it would be awesome. as it is, it still gets an 8 from me. i love it. |

I think that the composition is rather good and that the selective desaturation works really well. Great thoughtful expressions on the models' faces. |

Nice concept and well processed. I don't think it's quite my style, but I won't hold that against you. 8 |

a lovely composition. i like how red the rose is, and i like the subtlety of the mesh top on the woman. the white background feels a bit harsh for such a soft-feeling photo to me, though. |

Nice photo. I like the setup and color treatments you chose...now I'd better go fan myself and move onto the next picture (they look like things could heat up quickly) ;-) |

Oh this is very cool. Like a Calvin Klein ad. Very artful!! I wonder if they were both in the sepia or black and white... hmmmm Just a thought. |
