There's some great grain here, and I really like the composition - not fond of how out of focus it is, though, and I would really prefer that the selective desaturation be total desaturation. Your contrast is great, the subject is adorable, and overall the shot is definitely appealing - nice image! The only thing I really don't like is the oversaturated blue. Good luck, you've met the challenge well :)

I love this shot. The grain, the background motion, the clarity of the subject, and the composition all make this interesting and moody; the atmosphere is just fantastic in this. Excellent work.

Stunning use of grain to add impact to this shot without losing any detail. Composition is excellent, and the contrast couldn't be better. Fantastic work!

Looks just a tad overprocessed somehow - maybe it's the compression? I see some haloing around the edges that doesn't quite work, and some minor lost details. That aside, the colours are fantastic, and the composition is excellent. I'd love to see a little more natural detail in the flower - this would be absolutely fantastic that way. Even still, I think it would've done well; I'd have scored it 7 or 8ish.

Beautiful capture. Awesome colours, and the composition is perfect - the markings on the plant/leaf really draw attention to the fly. This has a distinct artistic feel that's very appealing. Nice job!

Awwwwwwwwww! First off, I love the colours; secondly, I'm a sucker for a little kitty in any sort of little container. In this case, the pretty bowl works well, and the kitty is absolutely adorable. Composition is nice; colours all look good, and the sharpness is decent. I see some mild noise or perhaps compression artifacts in the red, but red always seems to show that too much, so it doesn't take away IMO. Adorable! Nice shot.

First let me say that you've probably already heard about the noise, so I'm not going to talk about it much. It doesn't really bother me; there is perhaps a tad too much, but it's not enough to take much at all away from this photograph for me. I think you've done a marvelous job of catching some of this beautiful animal's spirit on [not film - um, digital media? :)] and I love the way the light, shadows, and lovely, smooth background look. The bright sky fits - the shadows and highlights are right on to my eye. I also like the crop/composition - lovely photograph! Lots of personality. 8.

This is a lovely portrait - it imparts a real feeling of character, and the background colour works brilliantly to make the photograph feel complete. I like the sense of motion with her hair; it lends a free, upbeat feel to the picture that compliments her smile and shiny eyes. My only complaint is that I see a few distracting artifacts (compression?), particularly in the hair/background. Regardless, a lovely, solid photograph - 9.

The simplicity of this, and the smooth colour transitions really give this photograph a lot of appeal. It has almost an abstract quality in that I see the colours and immediately feel a sense of tranquility before I absorb the contents of the foreground and background; this is definitely a very beautiful work of art. Nice job!

I love this one! The clarity is stunning, composition is brilliant, and there is some really lovely bokeh going on too. And somehow the "new" element of the mother and the "old fashioned" element of her beautiful child really combine to make this not only gorgeous but interesting and unique. Excellent work!
