Sorrowby aznymComment: Beautiful Celtic crosses in this cemetary. My preference would have been a close up on just one of these crosses. The landscape horizontal layout of the photo takes away from the vertical movement of the 3 crosses and one tower. Beautiful B/W though. |

The Rockby NovaTigerComment: The cropping choice could have connected this gravestone to the earth, showing us the rootedness of this Rock to the ground in which William is buried. I love the sunray choice in the photo and the trees. |

Momento Moriby PhilosComment: This close up causes confusion for me as a viewer, uncertain if it is vertical or on the ground, if the blood red liquid is blood or paint or murky rainwater, though the image evokes dread and death. a reflection in the liquid perhaps would have given this more context. |

Friday Card Nightby NodeComment: OK...how many "does not fit challenge" comments have you received? I am one of those quirky DPC folks who adore photos that do not fit the challenge. The photo has some problems though, with lack of focus, intentionally done I realize, yet a blurring of clarity in the story of these men and the background is too dark to appreciate or even understand what the lights are about, thus distracting. The brown non-ribbon is a coveted prize with DPC bottom feeders! good luck |

Bobbin for Grapes???by ebertdjComment: Cool concept and execution of this shot. I love the look of the upside down duck under water. Nice focus, and great water light play. |

Ducktiniby KaDiComment: Great lighting choices and composition which causes the eye to move around the frame seeming to understand the image. My only crit is about hiding the duck behind the glass, even cutting of the duck's eye with the glass. Overall, an excellent use of lighting and elements for a cool looking photo. |

Duck Tricks by FirstyComment: Outstanding compositional choice, and a cool idea, giving this duck some character/style. I like the richness of the blue background with the water drops, and the grapes revealing the subtle use of light sources (required for the challenge, yet not shown directly). Excellent photo for a strange challenge. |

Quack!!by nico_blueComment: Great compositional setup and story relating to the rubber duck's eyes. I like the grapes in silhouette and the lighting is excellent. One of my favorites to ribbon. Thanks! |

Shoot them as they fallby JinjitComment: Cool composition and basic idea. I love the split level shooting with water below. The focus seems a bit blurred on the duck, perhaps intentionally smart blurred? The Light source from the right side is too hot on the bottom three graps and the duck cheek. Apart from these minor things, one of my favorites to win this strange challenge. |
