Cool picture. Awesome title. Good choice to make sure the entire ear is in the frame, but it seems kind of lost.

I'd crop this sucker in real tight on the face, or at least just the head. My eyes are so drawn to the tongue (and eyes), everything else seems a waste of space.

I know this was probably a tough moment to capture, but it might have been better from a different angle, maybe take the picture from where the dog is looking. That way, you can fill the frame with animals instead of all that carpeting or whatever.

WHOA! Hey! That just ain't right. Looks like serious red-eye for dogs (which I always thought was green) thanks to that flash. The nose looks discolored, too. Fix the lighting and you'd have a clever shot.

Oh, good grief. Seriously? How am I supposed to vote this low? I mean, I want to - you've dressed up a dog and stolen away any dignity it might have had. Hey - you faked the blur on the monster on the left! HA! I knew I'd find something.

I'd tighten the crop closer to the pooch and hydrant. I think it's safe for the hydrant's shadow to run out of the frame sooner if you keep the dog's.

OK - this is stupid and doesn't take away from the overall quality of the shot, but ... could you get rid of that yellow speck in the bottom left? Just continue the blue square. kthxbye!

Well, nice job on the lighting and focus and etc. And 1,000 bonus points for being able to keep three dogs and a cat still long enough to get the shot. But ... I'm just not a fan of this kind of studio portrait. They're all just sort of sitting there. I'm not getting any read on any of their personalities, and the lack of a background doesn't really help. I also get the feeling I'll be one of the few who think that way. Sorry.

This might be more interesting if the shadowed area were completely black. The little bit of detail is a bit distracting. And the gaping eyehole is creepy.
