Templeby dahkotaComment: There's something weird about the quality of this I can't quite pin down. Maybe it's too noisy? Grunged up a bit? Or is that the actual surface of the stone? |

The Life Aquaticby craigesterComment: I like the yellow on the dock, but that green seems a bit too much, especially on the rope(?) in the foreground.
PS: Where's Team Zissou? |

Follow the Lineby sherpetComment: Nice lines and perspective, but I think you've oversaturated the blue. You might want to go back and take all that blue out of the wood, especially in the shadowed railing on the right (once you no longer have to worry about the basic editing rules) and tone down the sky a bit, too. |

The Harborby puzzledComment: I'm not entirely sure where to look in this shot. The foreground boats don't form much of a line but point to the sandbar which leads my eyes off to the right toward ... nothing at all. The background boats also lead nowhere. The contrast of the colors in front with the drab everything else is interesting. Perhaps a different angle or perspective would help give the overall shot some focus and/or heft. |

Papa Mountain and Sonby vtruanComment: Yeah, "Orientation" was on the second line on my mainpage, too - I almost missed it. This is an interesting take on "Portrait in [a] Landscape." I think it needs more contrast. The snow seems a little too gray. I'd also like to see a bit more of the "son" on the right. |

Thornsby HeterocephallusComment: There's something weird about how her head is sort of just stuck there in the bottom corner. Maybe it's how it's framed by the fence post and barbed wire? I kind of like the soft focus on her, though. |

Autumn falls into winterby Sieruken7Comment: I'll let everyone else tell you DNMC; here's what I like about the picture. I like the sets of lines and how each is different: foreground bushes, red tree line, hazy horizon, even those top clouds. The colors aren't oversaturated the way so many are over in the Free Study challenge. Nicely composed, well-thought out shot. |

Paris Landing Golf Courseby RockBruiseComment: I think this shot would look great in the course's brochure or in a travel booklet highlighting local golf courses, but I don't think it's very strong standing on its own as a photograph. It's a pretty view, but it's a pretty standard pretty view - there's nothing particularly exceptional about it. |

Confettiby TuckersmomComment: Beautifully done. For a moment there, I thought it was a sea anemone in an aquarium with its tentacles waving in the current. |
