Fallenby agwrightComment: Looks very much like a computer-generated piece of art, except for the fallen piece. I like how you've managed to make that one piece look as though it was shot in a different light. The foremost piece looks a bit out of focus, and I don't like the uneven border. |

As Good As It Getsby rscorpComment: Great lighting, nice tones. I love the way you've managed to capture the texture of the coffee beans. I don't know about the unequal cropping of the hands, but maybe it looks better this way anyhow. |

Mom's babyby PaulinaRDComment: Picture seems over-sharpened. A nice family snapshot, but not "frame-worthy". |

Best Friendsby NeuferlandComment: A nice picture, but looks like you used way too much NeatImage (or some filter). The soft look is appealing in its way, but you've lost the detail in the fur of the horse's face. |

a little to the left...please?by birdyblueComment: A nice picture, but looks like you used way too much NeatImage (or some filter). The soft look is appealing in its way, but you've lost some of the detail in the feathers. The lighting is really nice, though. |

Anticipationby sibelingComment: Likes: the familiarity, the emotion, the use of b&w.
Dislikes: the distracting garage and truck out the window, the too-tight crop (would like to see more dog)
Overall a nice image with a home-y feeling. |

Wind and wavesby pitsamanComment: The coolest thing about this picture is how the water seems to be heaving and the waves seem to be rolling right off the screen towards me :) |

Thanks for adding a comment. I'm only new to this and apprciate all the help I can get, but as I am only learning could you please translate this comment into plain english. |
I think it means: Good job backlighting. Nice outlines on your leaf. Good detail of the veins without using a light in front.
What I have to say is: Wow! I really love this, the colors, the slight blurriness, the thickness of the border, the hot spots, and the tears in the leaf. I have a wall downstairs that needs some pictures, and you've given me inspiration for a collection of artwork! Message edited by author 2004-11-24 12:11:00. |

risenby antimethodComment: A 10. So beautiful, but so frail. Great lighting and mood for this picture. Hope to see her story after the contest. |
