if you crop off their real noses, my mind wants to make the space between their faces into a nose - makes it creepy. great concept, could have been framed better and that space between then might work better without the stuff in it

I really like the white whites of Mr. Tiger II. See how the white of his face and eyebrow make his gaze focused? In the BW version he is just spacing out, now he is really looking intently AT something. Gives him a purpose and creates some tension in his forelimbs like he might get up and get it. The increased whites makes his hands grip the ground. I think you have added some implied acton here, who cares if you lost a bit of fur detail?

Defiance

I prefer the duotoned version. The colors here are a bit cheery while the other has a bleak and hopeless feel to it. The moods are certainly different. The person here looks like a casual passer by where in the other he has a direct relationship with the sign because they are the same color.
