Snowy Mountainby JamesterComment: Excellent scene for this challenge with excellent B&W processing. Your foreground is pin sharp but the mountains and trees look a little soft. A strong 9 from me still. |

Empty Benchesby graphicfunkComment: An excellent choice of subject for this challenge and very characteristic B&W processing. Fits the challenge well. 8 |

aloneby DrewLongComment: I think I know which Adams shot this is reflective of. If I'm right I think I would have flipped it horizontally. Still a very suitable scene for the challenge. The fence in the scene isn't terribly picturesque, however. 7 |

The Art of Erosionby nrulkovComment: Wonderful work. An excellent choice of subject and very Adamsy black and white processing. Your sky looks a little false since you appear to have burned it by hand and left quite a halo around the trees and edges of the frame. Quite an attractive effect but not especially faithful to the scene. The sky might have been brought up with a coloured filter in shooting or a hue shift layer in post processing. Either way, one of the strongest entries I've seen so far. 9 |

Duneby jrtoddComment: I can't help thinking Adams would have included a lot more sky with this image. Also I would have pushed the contrast up so that the darkest areas were much closer to black. Otherwise a well observed and composed image of a visually appealing subject. Well done 7 |

Deceasedby BlackdogComment: Good work with the black and white but post processing has made some grain visible. I like your choice of subject but that branch sticking out of shot leads the eye out of shot too. 7 |

Fog and Skyby dirkjan_denelzenComment: This could almost be entered in the surreal challenge. I like what you've done but it feels a little too "zoomed in". That half tree on the left and whatever that is in the bottom left corner tend to lead my eye out of the frame and are distracting. Also the aparrent horizon and the lines above slope in a way that is unsettling. Perhaps this scene is level but without more context (ie less zoomed in) it's difficult to tell. 7 |

Ygnacio Valleyby NitinComment: A lovely view but I feel like some detail in the valley is missing. Perhaps a little soft there. Lovely light on the hills. Shame the clouds weren't cooperating. 7 |

Georgian Skiesby jenesisComment: Fits the challenge just beautifully. I would have liked to see something more in the foreground, however. 8 |
