In the begining they were manby jigglebugComment: My low score has nothing to do with creationism v. evolution. I subscribe to the latter, but this image has been taken obviously through some kind of a window, and a dirty one. There is a pretty large and bad reflection in the middle bottom, and a unnecessary distracting line on the left that should have been cropped out. The remainder of a background is too busy. I hope you do better in the future, this was a good idea not executed well enough.
The positives: the ape's expression is for at least a 9.

String Theoryby srbrubakerComment: Now you are reaching... I had a chance to read about strings of energy and theory that attempts on unifying quantum physics and classical mechanics, but how many people do you think will get this. Adding to favourites because I'm curious. And yes, well executed with a very nice DOF and lighting. I would lose the frame, though. |

Awaiting Rescueby photomayhemComment: How did you get Tom Hanks to pose for you? My second best for the challenge. The arms are little overblown, but I take it as an attempt to show sun-blistered skin.
An interesting to look at, depicting boredom. Wonderful! bumping up to 9. |

Keywords: Woman, Cellphone, Smileby bledfordComment: I don't think that framing was necessary. It could be DPC's gray background and the frame you get from DPC that contributes to the looks, but i'd like to see it without one.
Other than that, meets the challenge: 10, composition is for 10, and the only technicality is that the hand seems to be too bright. Bumping up to 9 |

Drill Masterby graphicfunkComment: Great idea! Definitively my favorite of the bunch. There is something wrong with it, though, something does not seem natural - maybe a tongue is too sharp, that's probably it. would have been a 10 otherwise. 9 for now... |

Being Womanby ComputergiComment: I think that I've seen this perspective in just about every magazine I open these days. Usually used on the 1/3rd page ads, apparently has enough appeal to be used again and again. Therefore,
meets challenge: 10;
composition:10;
maybe a little harsh lighting on a shiny blouse:8;
and the model is beautiful (no grade for that, would have been a 10 if that was also graded:-)
bumping up on the second pass. 9. |

Swirl.JPGby Rachel34Comment: I would attempt to enhance the contrast by dodging highlights and burning your shadows. If you could darken some of the already dark areas, I think it would contribute to a more dramatic image.
Congratulations on another excellent photo.
