Rebels Without a Causeby LydiaComment: You poor woman, having to put up with watching such scabrous scofflaws! Have another Pina Colada... |

Water Sprite by markwileyComment: This one's just beyond belief, so perfectly seen and realized. I like to think you happened upon the scene and captured this shot on the fly, but I'm pretty sure you carefully planned and staged the whole thing. Either way, it's utterly spot-on. At one point I was wishing you'd cropped it to be perfectly symmetrical, but I began to realize the old tire in the foreground adds an unexpected and "grounding" element to the composition.
Well done! One of my (few) 10s! |

Take off by wildirisComment: It's hard to be any more perfect than this. Already voted, 10. At one point I felt like there was too much space to the left and a crop would improved it, but the more I studied it the more I realized the ripples on the water are actually FRAMING the bird and its reflection almost like some sort of textural vignette.
Add to that the exquisite deepening of the backlit wing's color in the reflection and the way the droplets on the trailing legs are becoming branches/twigs in the reflection, not to mention the perfect sharpness, and you have a total winner.
It's not the most imaginative image in the challenge, and my appreciation tends to lie with those who stretch a boundary or two, but this is compelling. Great work! |

Art Decoby Yo_SpiffComment: It's a beautiful, even gorgeous, B/W render but it reads more horizontal than "tall" to me... |
