It's 9 everywhereby mqnaufalComment: I like the classic 9's in the drop but I'm not understanding the use of the telephone/network cable. It seems really out of place but maybe I just don't understand some subtle connection to 9? |

Daisy's Tribute to Nineby DCrest01Comment: I personally find the muted color of the flowers to detract from the shot. Perhaps if there was more contrast between the flowers and the background it would work better (but hard to do with basic editing rules). The daisy in the far left corner which is smaller and more closed seems to unbalance the shot a bit for me, as does the button on the background material. |

Cloud Nineby gunsmith6Comment: The sky has digital artifacts that are distracting and I don't understand the point of having the cactus in the shot - I like the bright blue coloring of the sky - it grabs attention. |

Nine Fallen Petalsby crikComment: The lighting has a flat feel to me in this shot. A backlight might have helped the flower to stand out and feel more alive giving better contrast between the live and dead petals... I like the placement of the vase and live flower in the frame. |

- AFFINITY -by andrewtComment: I don't really know what I'm looking at and the subject doesn't really hold my interest. |

Nineby davidwComment: I tend to like subtle pictures but this one doesn't quite work for me. I find the glare to be distracting and awkwardly placed. If it were on the 9 itself it might work more.
I like the orange cast on the right side - perhaps more of that all along the right side would have improved the shot. |

N-EYE-N by The EskimoComment: I keep looking for the shape of a nine in the eye but just don't see it - if it's just a play on words its too much of a stretch for me to say it really meets the spirit of the challenge.
From a technical standpoint I like the focus on the eye but you seem to have a lot of digital noise (over sharpening maybe?) that is distracting. |

9 Up 1 Downby eaglebeckComment: I like the reflection. The color/lighting doesn't quite work for me though - just too washed out. |

Front Row Seatsby wildirisComment: The house and flag in the background seem to overshadow the 9 chairs. A shallower focus or higher angle on the chairs (shooting more down at them from a step ladder maybe) might have helped isolate them more.
As it is now my eye is always drawn to the flag and the main subjects are an afterthought. |
