Purple sunset by BrinComment: I love this shot, but I have a question. Did you use a filter on the front of the 300D or was it applied after in Photoshop? I only ask because I think (don't quote me) photographic filters are not allowed in Basic Editing. Like I said, I'm probably wrong as no one else has mentioned it.
I love the comp. The little boat plays well with the position of the sun. This contrast in the clouds vs sky is nice. I love skys that give the feel of montion.
Congrats, and I really hope it stick.

Waterdropby gazdiComment: Three things I like about this image.
Duotone suits it well, I think.
DoF is cool, draws my eye to the water drop
Composition is balanced
I also don't get how the carpet (is it carpet?) hasn't sucked in the water drop.
Good shot. |

A new pose for a freckle faced modleby KrisbyComment: You are quite literally one of the most stuning and naturally beautiful people in this world. EVER!
Never stop taking self-portraits.
This would have finished much higher had the challenge had been more sympathic to your entry.

Apolloby aimeethetooComment: A lot of effort went in to this. It's the kind of thing my teacher wife would do!
I think the image would be stronger if the Apollo was approaching the sun from the left rather than leaving the sun to the right, but that's just me. |

Tubular...by IreneMComment: This would be much more effective if you took some more time over making those tubes. Also a tweak of the contrast and of the white balance in camera (or RAW) would make this pop more. The tubes look a little dull and grey. (5) |

paper rainbowby margiemuComment: Shame you didn't turn the centre green one around so the tape wasn't showing. Also, greater care with making the tubes would have made this a better shot. Glue instead of tape also. Contrast and comp is good, and it's a great idea. Shame the overall execution is as good. (5) |
