the lighting/color treatment leaves the image feeling a bit flat and two-dimentional to my eye...some offset lighting would allow the shape of those containers to really pop out at the viewer.

nicely composed, like the use of negative space. the lighting gives it a "screen door "feeling, though, and i find myself wishing that the shot were crisper/brighter. like the jim morrison shirt! a cool composition and great idea for this challenge!

this is a great composition for this challenge. i like the lighting and how the reader is visible over the books. i almost would like to see the shot framed so that the reader appears to be reclining on the pile of books. this shot makes it almost appear that way except for the top half of their body hanging in space.
