Supernovaby svt_gEEkComment: This image doesn't do much for me. The focus is soft, the colors don't pop, and there is too much empty space. Message edited by author 2006-01-11 17:21:31. |

Cattailby KarenNfldComment: Great shot! Good lighting and nice detail on the cattail and great use of depth of field. |

Oooo Shiny Shapes!!by GivemeashotComment: The background almost completly obliterates the earrings. If the earrings are the focus, they should be on a less cluttered background. Without the earrings, the sequins could make a decent shot as well. The lighting on this one is also too dark and the focus is soft. |

The Downward Spiralby JamDComment: The idea is good, but I think the composition could be better. I don't like the way there is so much room at the top while the bottom stairs are cropped. I think you should explore other angles. I realize this can be challenging with something like a spiral staircase, but a more straight down angle would show the shape better. Perhaps underneath looking up? Also, the lighting is uneven, like you were using a flash and it reflected more off the closer steps than the other ones. |

wind chimesby zheka78Comment: I like the shallow depth of field, but the bottoms of the chimes really need to be tack sharp for this to work and they are not. I am also bothered by the yellow cast. |
