The Hiker's Rewardby violinist123Comment: edit: I disagree with some of the comments about the technicals of the shot. There are compositional guidelines, not laws of the universe. I played with a variety of crops for this shot.
Don't ya just hate it when people quote you technicals out of some photography book they read. Or maybe someone told them that's how it should be so that must be the way it is, no deviation of the rules are excepted.
BTW, nice shot. Message edited by author 2007-07-15 21:10:46. |

Luck of the Draw by scalvertComment: I get a yard full of 4 leaf clovers every spring. Most are gone now because of the heat. You just have to know which variety of clover to look in. Judging by the leaves on your colver, you have the same ones I do.
Anyway, congrats on yet another ribbon. It's always a pleasure to see your creativity. |

Spider Rockby kirbicComment: I'm not much for heights. This gives me the "hibee-jebees" just looking at it. |

Second City by kirbicComment: Fritz, this has to be one the best Chicago skyline shots around. We should get some of these with the 5D's. |

Poiseby smartypantsComment: Congrats on your PB with this shot Andrea. Great pose from the cat. Sameer got a shot similar to this one also. I thought it might have been his shot. I to would like to see it cropped differently. |

Exactly!! It's like playing Poker for play money on the internet. Has no real world meaning to me either. |

Ornithology - Raptor Research (Pandion haliaetus)by MarjoComment: It looks as though your 70-200 didn't have enough reach and you are cropping in closer. The colors seem to be washed out. Focus is off. Subject matter would be OK if you could've gotten closer and I would've also cropped the pole out. |
