Looks like you used a zoom and took this photo at a high zoom 200 or 300mm and its has a lot of noise as well..

You tried a good shot here, but somehow this didn't come out nice...blur on the lights is distracting. did you use a tripod ? I don't know why your light sources are so blurred

Its just too plain....just like a snapshot and not a photograph you would enter in a challenge. things that might help ? increase the contrast
