Betrayalby GeneralEComment: With slightly different lighting, you could have hid the wrinkles in the fabric while highlighting the blade. A highlight on the blade would have added a bit more of a menacing feeling to the image. I like that the vegetable looks a bit like a human heart. |

Untitledby fulgurateComment: I would have loved to see some textured lighting on this to give it some kind of location (like light through blinders or something like that) since the background doesn't give any indication as to where these items were found. I also think there is too much sharpening and a lot of artifacting. I'm not sure if that was caused by your camera or your editing process, but it does affect the quality of the image. |

Childhood Lostby markwileyComment: There are a lot of images in this challenge that make use of other photographs in them. I think this is one of the ones that would have worked just as well (maybe even better) without the photograph(s) because the other objects are so strong. |

Fluid dynamics sure is heavy stuffby roksibancComment: I think it's a testament to your idea that I got the "heavy stuff" part before I even read your title. I do wish the lighting was a bit more emotionally fitting, possibly harsh and contrasty to show some of the unease/frustration/angst a lot people feel when they need to do high level math. |

Peach Wine Processing by MAKComment: I'd love to hear what this means to you. This one was the first that I've seen in the bunch that has sent my mind afire. The photo could mean any number of things, but the one that I like the best that I came up with is that the peach (as it so often does) represents the female. The wine represents the perfect female. And the press represents some of the things (plastic surgery, etc) that females do to try to become the "perfect female." I"m probably way off on this, but I really liked that idea.
As for the photo, the technicals are great and I love the simplicity of your set up. |

the little kafkaby tnunComment: The color palate on this is gorgeous. I love the inclusion of the bone and the bug. I just wish the lines had been straighter/squarer to emphasize the way the photo is boxed in by its border and the objects. |
