Transparencyby vikasComment: Creation Glory again! What a treasure! The varying hues of peach caused by increasing density & decreasing translucency make for an interesting study! Great Photo! However, the background is a little distracting. |

winter blues by ursulaComment: Creation Glory again! What a shot! Nice touch catching the subject after a rainshower (either real or manufactured.) The varying hues of blue caused by increasing density & decreasing translucency make for an interesting study! Great Photo! |

Kokopelliby barndogComment: You nailed the assignment...Highlight subject from behind without making the subject a silouette. Smooth move using reflected light on the head. However, since half the figure is a silouette and the opaque aspect of the subject precludes translucence, the score is necessarily lower. |

Lime lightby PurpleFireComment: Great translucence! Nails the assignment!
Yet, I'm not really sure about the unique subject since clarity is true enough throughout.
I must admit though. My throat's starting to taste a little "acid." ;) |

Too Thin!by M.O.C.Comment: Isn't that a country song, "Here's Your Sign!" You could even make the case for this being a mathematical photo...Sign/Co-Sign! :) |

Radiant Prairie Dogby scalvertComment: "I'm a little doggy lookin' at the light! La, la, la, la, la, la!...
Hey, you there! You aren't Bill Murray, are you? Didn't I just see you?...Didn't I just see you?...Didn't I just see you?...
Read my lips...That's prairie dog, not ground hog!"
I like this little fella! You really made him stand out with good use of backlight. |

Natural Backlightby mattmungerComment: Great backlighting, but the subject is indistinct (not enough contrast perhaps.) I like the mood a lot, but the background competes with the subject enough to make the photo busy & unfocused.
SIMPLIFY! A different angle might help. I try to frame my photos through the lens,...but...even then I get photos that turn out differently than I saw them to be.
Still though...photography is consistently more accurate a sport than golf. |
