Dairy Queen by crabappl3Comment: I'm kind of tired of the macro/stop action/splash images, but I have to give you a 10 anyway. This is a great shot and I especially like the milk and purple liquid. I would clone out the tiny splash droplets as they are distracting (I realize it was against the rules for spot editing, though).
Great example of this technique...
10

whispers and giggles by ursulaComment: I'm pressed for time and don't have time to make comments this week, but I had to leave one for this image. This is one of the best examples I've seen in a long time of capturing emotion and interaction with a photograph. The black and white works great... I cant find anything to improve, other than the back of her hand being a little blown out, but that's Ok. I give it a 10 and I hope to see this image win the challenge!!

Desert Stormby DiversqComment: I love this shot! I have three boys ages 1, 3, and 5. We get lots of this type of incident at our house. Something new every day!
Nice capture. |

Feeling Disconnectedby greenem2Comment: This is a very fun image.
The only complaint I have is the detail in the background on the left arm image. The rest of the compilation is all black in the background. Still, it's a 9 to me. Nice work. |

Work Toolsby wsargenComment: I like the collage aspect of this image...
Most people framed three separate images, so this is unique in that respect.
THe weapon and handcuffs evoke a dynamic response in me, and the writing instruments fall kind of flat in comparison. I would have preferred weapon-handcuffs-badge maybe...

Breaking Free by FranziskaLangComment: Incredible macro work!!!
I like this alot, and BW works very well here.
THe only thing I find distracting are the horizontal stems in the left side of the bottom image. The entire compilation is made up of vertical elements, including the text. With no editing rules, I would have cloned out the horizontal stems... They seem out of balance with the rest of the compilation.
I still give it a 9, though. Would have been a 10 without the horizontal elements.

The Boldt Familyby autoolComment: The geometric shapes of the nuts and bolts don't seem to be in balance with the oval 'crops'
The nuts and bolts also seem to be crowded within the ovals.
I think this is a great idea... I would try some more post processing ideas, even though the challenge is done. |
