Very nice. It's hard to get flame shots (at least for me, lol). I think the only thing I could comment on would be to have this a little sharper... and if I'm really picky to level the bottom match with your horizon line. Great composition and capture of the idea

Beautiful. I love it. This very well may get top 20. I think that you may have done better if your colors were brighter; if the orange stood out more from the coral. (my monitor is calibrated). Other than that, I love the idea and the composition. It must have took forever to get a shot of this guy, especially through glass.

Technical looks good, but you may get voted down for your subject. DPC loves to see emotion, bright colors or very contrast-y type b&w. I'm wondering if you could have played off of a more drastic angle or something. Good luck in the challenge.

I wanted to say thanks for the comment on my bubble picture by finding one of my favorite photos of yours. I really love this one - it reminds me of a delicate charcoal drawing. I also think it has perfect composition within the frame.

Congrats on the shot - though I like the crop/composition of your July 2006 shot better, you have definitely improved as far as technical skill. Keep it up : )

nice photo, the only thing I'd point out is that it seems like your camera focused on the leaf to the left side instead of the bud coming out of the water. I love the DOF and the composition - aside from the basic editing rules, you might play around with selective blurring or dodging and burning and different coloring techniques. very nice first entry
