the inclusion of the green pin oddly forces the eye to take in the whole assemblage more, draws you in to the arrangement

would prefer to see less blank space in the top two corners, instead have them nicely filled with pins positioned every which way like the bottom two corners

I like the framing, but wish the focus was a bit sharper - with that lens, if you are shooting handheld, your shutter speed should be at least the same as the lens mm - 1/100s or faster. Boost ISO, or add more light to get closer to that speed, with a macro lens where you might not want to widen your aperture further. My apologies if you know all this already - I don't know your relative skill level.

I think I like this one the best - the simple color palette is effective, making foreground and background seem almost of a piece, when they are quite clearly distinctly different - the wood grouping is fascinating all on its own, but your composition really lets us see the breadth and variety of its equally fascinating surroundings.
