Olympians, True Heros (Seoul Olympic Stadium)by docpjvComment: This just doesn't do a lot in the portraying of heroes. What I see here is a building and not heroes. With that being said now for the strengths of this photo. It is a nice exposure with good focus for the time of day. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |

Balancing Actby lytaComment: Critique Club
Very pretty and definately does meet the challenge. The colors are good and very attention grabbing. The overall composition adds interest. The one thing I really don't like about this is the water droplets just seem to flat and without any depth to them.

Very nicely done. The colors are fantastic and grab your attention. you really can never go wrong with a sunset, however, on that note thats all it is a breathtaking sunset and there is nothing that makes it different from any other sunset. A bird or a boat or something to grab the eye to one certain area of this would have gave it more impact. As it is now its a pretty sunset but its just lacking that little something extra to hold your attention.

Excellent image. Of course it meets the challenge and very well done I might add. The only problem I see with the entire image is the lighting in the black portion of your background. There is an area where the lighting is much stronger than the rest of the image and it does distract slightly from the entire composition. A little touching up there and you will have not just an excellent image but a fantastic image.

First off let me welcome you to DPChallenge and tell you, you have the idea, the photo is very nice and does meet the challenge without question, the composition is interesting and your biggest downfall was your size.
You will do much better if make your longest side 640 and then the other side will adjust to that. Usually 480 unless you did some cropping.
If you have any problems or need some help resizing don't be afraid to ask. I'll be looking forward to seeing more from you in future challenges.

I really do like this...it has a very mysterious feeling to it. It grabs your attention and you find yourself searching it for details and yet they are very few and limited.
The lighting is extremely good and adds to the entire composition. It really is a very strong entry and I feel it should have done better. |
