The Scent of Freedomby flip89Comment: Critique Club
This definately fits the challenge no question there that dog expresses the freedom we give to out pets.
Your score seems rather low to me...more than likely the busyness of the background...even though it is out of focus the background is very distracting and I'm sure it hurt you greatly.
Also a little more detail to the dogs head and face would have helped...although his colors make it hard to see the eyes, being able to see them would have helped as well. |

I Spy ........ A bugby TikicharmComment: Critique Club
Well this fits the challenge there is no question there. You have a very good dof going on with this macro, nicely done and excellent sharpness on the bloom itself.
The photo just doesn't pop out to make it one of those grab your attention photos, possibly cropping it closer and losing some of the right side and bottom would improve it. I just think as it is now it's too centered.
That bug is something else in the photo when I first looked at it I though oh it needs to go then when I look at it again it adds character to the photo.
It is a good photo and appears to be well done...keep up the good work. |

One Monkey Short of a Full Benchby GeneralEComment: Critique Club
LOL...oh Paul this would have worked so much better in a humorous challenge or the portrait challenge...I can see this being titled...My Little Monkey....but seriously yes Isaac was right there is a purple hue to the monkeys...its very mild but it is there...I would say more of a purple undertone to them, however, they are about the same color as concord grapes in the fall....that deep dark purplish blue, so with that said they would fit the challenge.
The backround is a bit busy but I'm sure in this instance you had no control over that....as for the bench being slanted I tend to agree with you it wouldn't look right if it weren't.
Thank you for the amusing look at see no evil...my question is...is he a monkey Dad? Again I like it cause its one of those photos that is just to cute and amusing for most of the votes around here but thanks for the orginality.
