White and Pink on Purple.jpgby SheryllComment: I like the soft blue and green colors of your background - a nice complement to your subject. Aside from the focusing issues, I think that you didn't allow enough negative space when you shot this, which really limits what you can do during post-processing. |

Day 9 - VERY Red Cannaby ephlnComment: I love the red, but I think that the problem is the bright lighting, which tends to wash out details as well as colors. On another thread, someone suggested setting the white balance in cloudy mode, even when the sun is shining. |

Day 8by skasubaComment: These DO look like sea anemones. For some reason the flower center on the left seems to be floating, kind of like it was pasted on top. I would really like to see a bit simpler composition. The flower on the right is beautifully cropped with the petals just flowing off the bottom and right sides. |

Day Eightby TuckersmomComment: Bright colors just fill this photo. I like that you included the lantern (too bad it wasn't a bit more rustic). Seems like the flowers need to be brighter as the turquoise and blue colors kind of dominate. |
