Mobile Homeby tyt2000Comment: I like the subject. I like how he fills the frame and how unaware of the camera he appears. But the photo looks grainy and I would have liked to see this one in color, instead. |

rich in spiritby MR_PComment: I love how you concentrated on the positive aspect here, yet very clearly showing the "poverty" part, as well. The amount of blur is just right to let the subject stand out, yet still make out what the mess in the background is. Great shot! |

Blue windows - to keep the bad spirits outby JinjitComment: Right on topic! The only thing that would have improved this (in my opinion) would have been a human element or signs of occupancy. The dull lighting works well for the mood of this photo. |

WOW a buck, I can eat todayby ladpupmoeComment: Great idea, great set-up, right on topic. I only wish it wasn't black and white - because it is so "busy" it looks confusing and color would make it easier to see. |

"BB's Place"by ISivicComment: Does this show "Poverty" or "abandonment"? A human element (i.e. signs of life/occupancy) would have helped here. |

Food or Bills?by sisterjameelaComment: Very clever way to depict "Poverty" without the stereotype image of a homeless person. I like the attention to detail in the chipped plate and the rather basic and grotty looking cutlery. Well done! |

One Wishby fotodudeComment: The title is the only thing in this photo that vaguely suggests the topic "Poverty". Nice clear close-up, though. |

Circumstances Beyond Our Controlby eptasdiComment: I love this photo. The bleakness of the black and white works well, and the leading line takes my eye off into some unseen future/consequence. However, to me this photo says "alcohol" or "despair" or "isolation" etc, but not "Poverty". |

One Of Many. Why? by Mark of SRQComment: Heartwrenching and 100% on topic. Whilst I would normally suggest to be on the level as your subject, in this case it only reinforces the point you are making. Almost makes me feel guilty to be sitting here at my nice computer. |

Squatters in polluted riversideby theONE77Comment: Now THAT truly depicts poverty - perfect photo for this challenge. I would have liked to see it at a different time of day with different light conditions, and perhaps a bit less of the river, more of the dwellings. |
