Groomed black beautyby tetoComment: An excellent use of lighting and in using the make-up and the glitter to further exploit the light.
The overall picture is glamorous and I really like it, but for some reason the overall effect makes me feel sad for the young lady.

Flickby HifiComment: Excellent shot! I like the effect of where she seems to be dragging the whole lake up when she pulls up her head. Good job! |

"Wash My Hair Day"by SimComment: Well focused and centered. I like the way the picture separates the water drops, but I think I might have gone for the opposite effect if I had come up with this inspired idea. Instead of using a more "stop action" shutter speed, I think I might have tried slowing it down to 1/30 or 1/15 to get a cascading effect rather than simply a wet head.
A pleasing shot nevertheless. |

hairby cal_russellComment: At first I didn't think much of this shot...then I looked at it. I like that although the hair is pretty much in focus... so is the model's face. Your entry most definitely fits the challenge, and, what I like more is that although the hair would have been great all by itself... the face is actually framed by the hair making the complete picture. Good job!

In the Bathby bledfordComment: Perfect subject and subject matter is grand. I probably would have focused the shot so that the ear itself was a little more clear but getting this close in a shot makes that certain choices be made. A very pleasing photo.

Fly-byby zardozComment: I have been trying for years to get a shot similar to this... congratulations. There is nothing that I don't like about this photo. The positioning, although going against the third's rule, is perfect here... like Mr. Bee sat there in mid air waiting for your finger to punch the button. The background is not busy at all, and the shapes add to the shot instead of detracting in any way.
I have seen alot of shots that are close to this... but for me... you captured this wonderfully! |
