Mask Eyesby SwashbucklerComment: Interesting :) I'm not really sure how to comment on this one... The negative space would seem to be the area around the gem stone? - jmsetzler |

Memorialby BAMartinComment: beautiful image... I think that negative space 'subjects' are the best choices for this challgenge... the clouds in the background really add to the sense of 'struggle' you have presened in this photo... great work :) = 9 - jmsetzler |

Blew itby FrooberComment: very nice use of a high key atmosphere for your photo :) excellent job at keeping the background even as well... the darker area at the top is barely noticeable. The high key nature of this image really helps deliver a sense of anger and stress to go along with this garbage can... nice shot :) - 8 - jmsetzler |

Hannahby ZeissmanComment: This is quite nice... The composition is excellent and i particularly like the crop you chose on this photo... The dark background and the position of the subject create a nice 'negative' space in the image. The only critique I have is the uneven catch light in the child's eyes. Catch lighting is not easy all the time, but this is very close... great work :) = 9 - jmsetzler |

Dahliaby KazComment: beautiful :) I'm giving this photo a 10 even though i have a critique... the uneven lighting on the flower seems just a bit odd for me... however, the overall wow factor on this photo is quite impressive. I'm glad you chose black and white also :) = 10 - jmsetzler |

Firesideby inspzilComment: This is a very interesting shot. There is plenty of negative space :) The soft focus here, i believe, is VERY effective in this situation. When I look at this image, I am drawn directly to the child's face. The interest that i find there is the fact that it is split between light and dark right down the middle. I believe that this would have been a GREAT composition of just the head and shoulders of this boy in the firelight :) As the image is presented here, I would have preferred a minor movement of the subject to the right side of the frame to make the entire image more off balance :) - very nice shot and great idea :) - jmsetzler |
